Effective June 3, 2013 an upgrade to mass transit in Johnson County is meant to encourage more drivers to ride the bus. The upgrades include 15 new bus shelters along the Metcalf-Shawnee Mission Parkway route which will take people from southern Overland park through Mission to UMKC to the Plaza or downtown.
